Two New Scrollwork Cats | Brown & Grey
I got an order for a custom cat last week and because I was unsure of which color palettes my customer would like better, I created two new scrollwork cats for her to choose from. On a side note, I also whipped up two new cat styles in a striped pattern that I’m offering on Etsy going forward.
The two scrollwork cat that I’ve added to my portfolio are in shades of brown and grey. One is done with medium brown and dark grey, the other is a medium/light brown and medium grey. I think they both came out beautiful, and while she chose the cat with darker shades, someone out there will definitely have a cat that matches the extra one I made. It always works out like that. This is part of the reason that whenever I get an order for a custom cat, I make two or three at the same time.
I really should start keeping track of how many scrollwork cats I’ve created. I know for a fact I’m in the high double digits. It would be interesting to go back and start a tally to keep track of them all. One thing I do know is that the most popular color from day one has been the solid black cats. I’ve done more of those than any other color. Today I’m making an orange, black, and white cat. It’s been a while since I’ve worked with those colors so I’m excited to see how it comes out.
